How Our Canvas Prints Are Made
Every AirX canvas is printed, stretched, and packed by hand in one studio in Riverside, California. Here is what happens between your order and the box at your door.
1. Prepared for print
Each artwork in the catalog is prepared at full print resolution for every size we offer, and the image is extended and mirrored around the edges so the gallery wrap looks intentional from the side rather than cropping the picture. For Create Your Own orders we check the resolution of your photo against the size you chose and email a digital proof before anything prints.

2. Printed with archival pigment inks
We print on gallery-grade poly-cotton canvas with archival, acid-free pigment inks. Pigment inks sit on the canvas as solid particles rather than dyes, which is why they resist fading in bright rooms and hold deep blacks and smooth gradients. Color is calibrated so what you see on an Apple display is as close as possible to what comes off the printer.
3. Stretched by hand over kiln-dried pine

Stretcher bars are kiln-dried pine, which keeps the frame straight and light and resists warping with seasonal humidity. Each canvas is tensioned and folded by hand at the corners in your choice of 0.75-inch or 1.5-inch depth, and secured on the back so nothing shows on the sides.

4. Inspected, fitted with hardware, and packed
Before it leaves, every canvas is checked for print quality, tension, and clean corners. Hanging hardware goes on the back so the piece is ready to hang the moment the box opens. Then it is wrapped, corner-protected, and boxed by hand.
5. Shipped from Riverside
Orders typically ship within 3 to 5 business days and arrive in another 3 to 5 across the continental United States, with free shipping. If a canvas arrives damaged, photos within 7 days of delivery get you a free replacement or a full refund. Details are in our shipping policy and return policy.
Why canvas, and why made to order
Canvas has no glass to glare or break, weighs a fraction of a framed print, and hangs on a single hook. Making each piece to order means nothing sits in a warehouse: every artwork in the catalog is available in every size, from 12 x 18 up to 72 x 39 inches, and a photo of your own can become a canvas in the same materials.
